7 DAYS STAY

The Hardangerfjord region is a magical. With its proximity to the mountains, the Sognefjord and numerous waterfalls it is an ideal base for eventful day trips into the splendid Norwegian nature.

Day 1: Arrival in Hirtshals/Stavanger

In the evening hours (around 9 pm) you will board the Fjordline ferry, taking you comfortably to Stavanger.

Day 2: Stavanger / Hardangerfjord / Kinsarvik (350 KM)

In the morning hours the ferry arrives in the oil city of Stavanger. From here we will travel towards Kinsarvik and our hotel for the next 4 nights. On the way we will pass the Lysefjord and numerous waterfalls – e.g. the spectacular Låtefoss.

Day 3: Kinsarvik – excursion Hardangerfjord / Eidfjord

After a long journey the day before, we will be taking it a bit slower today. A short trip to Vøringsfossen – the most visited waterfall in Norway – starts the day. Afterwards we will move on to the Eidfjord for a guided tour at the Sima power plant, where you will learn about how water produces power in Norway. In the afternoon we will pay a visit at the Hardangervidda Nature Center – a lively attraction with a super cinema and aquarium.

Day 4: Kinsarvik – excursion to hanseatic Bergen (300 KM)

In the morning we will cross the brand new Hardanger bridge (est. 2013), one of the largest suspension bridges in the world. We move along the second longest of the Norwegian fjords, past the Steindalsfossen – a waterfall visible from behind, and into Bergen. Here a city tour awaits, where you will get to know all the interesting parts of the city as well as its history. Afterwards there is time left to be spent in Bergen at your own pace. In the late afternoon we travel back across the Hardanger Bridge to Kinsarvik.

Day 5: Kinsarvik – excursion Sognefjord with fjord cruise and Flåm train ride (250 KM)

Again we cross the Hardanger Bridge, this time we are going further north to the Sognefjord – a UNESCO world heritage site. From Gudvangen we take a cruise on the longest and deepest fjord in the world, with breathtaking mountain views, waterfalls. Our destination is Flåm. From Flåm we travel by train on the route to Myrdal – a masterpiece in the world of railroad construction, with 20 tunnels and bridges and further on to Voss. From Voss we travel by bus back to our hotel in Kinsarvik.

Day 6: Kinsarvik / Oslo / Frederikshavn (360 KM)

Across the impressive plateau at Hardangervidda we travel past Geilo towards Oslo. After a city tour in the Norwegian capital we leave Norway aboard the Stena Line night ferry, taking us to Frederikshavn in Denmark.

Day 7: Departure from Frederikshavn

Around 7.45 am we arrive in Frederikshavn – time for the journey back home.
